| It
is important to be known in professional circles but you do not necessarily
have to be a celebrity to all the world," says Christine Harmel of The
Interactive Resource, New York. She is consultant to companies looking
for partners or CEOs and she organizes IPO parties in New York and Los
Angeles that make headlines. "Big investors check out the management team
and look for vision and drive. That a picture as CEO has been on many covers
is another story. That makes a mother happy and ups the price in the stock
market. Clients, however, couldn't care less." As an example this 31-year
old mentions a company which she has just sold for $25 million ($US) to
the highest bidder. "Nobody knows them. The founders are no stars. But
they have a solid business and earn money.
